The glass bowl is by William Walker, formerly of Wimborne, then Poole Pottery, now Tollard Royal, on the mahoghany drop-leaf table left by the children of Lord David Cecil for us at the Red Lion House.

The 1920s roll-top desk came from my Father’s auction room at Welch & Lock, Wimbrone, in 1968 for £32. Dad was upset to take so much money from his son; I was happy to give it. I drove it to London in a hire van with Greg Lake, to the pad we shared in Leinster Square. It went to several locations in London, often being moved by roadies Dik & Vik, until returning to Dorset & Thornhill Cottage in Holt, near Wimborne, in 1971.
On the left & right of the desk are two bookshelves, recently constructed. The shelves on the left are for gardening books…
